#TBT – Jump in the Water’s Warm
This post needs two photos… makes up for missing the post last week.
For art museum junkies there’s no place better than Paris to indulge in art’s distinctive flavors. One of the best museums in the city is the Musée National d’Art Moderne in the Pompidou Centre. The building itself is a spectacular piece of architectural art itself and its innards present a never ending feast for modern art lovers. This post, however, is not about any of the contents of the museum, but, as you can see from the photos above, rather the moment we pondered whether or not it was okay to jump into the fountain. Clearly we decided that it was—though no one else seemed to think so. I’m not sure, but I guess it must have been our couchsurfing host who took these photos that perfectly captures the moment. A few moments of indecision, looking around, wondering what would happen if we decided to jump in and climb on all the great sculptures… we must have spent the next half an hour playing in the fountain, none of the Parisians paying the least bit of attention and no other tourists joining us.
